I was born and raised in San Diego, a border city that is home to many walks of life. At an early age, I knew I wanted to document experiences and use those experiences to showcase our culture and empower voices. Once I graduated high school in 2024, I decided to move to San Francisco and received a degree in documentary filmmaking from San Francisco State University in 2018. Now, I believe I can use my skills to uplift my people and others who feel silenced.

Our voices hold power, and I believe that with the resources and platform, we can make real change in this world. Communities like Chicano, Indigenous, and other minorities do not always have the opportunity to say the quiet parts out loud because we are constantly silenced by the oppressor. With my expertise, I want to give those voices a platform and opportunity to tell their truth and allow the masses to hear what they have to say. Digital media and public media are powerful mediums that provide visibility to subjects that must be more widely discussed.
